Puncak: the local’s best kept secret

Puncak Best Noodles Halal Restaurant in the Far East Plaza is as big of a hidden gem as they come. We only came across it because we were looking to try halal salted egg chicken rice somewhere. And this is the spot that my wife found. Little did we know how popular and how much of a legend it was. As you can see it was packed full of locals, not a tourist in sight. And it was packed. We had to wait before getting seated. And their menu has some truly tempting dishes that are supposedly nostalgic and the home food kind of vibes. A dying breed. We absolutely adored what we ordered and this is definitely a spot we’ll be returning to if and when we visit Singapore again. I became even more aware of its status after posting it on TikTok. It went viral and the comments section was full of locals claiming how they’ve been visiting this place for decades and how they grew up on this.
