Kulcha is a very popular North Indian stuffed flatbread dish. One of the best dishes you can get in Amritsar Punjab. It’s very similar to a paratha – with the difference being the flour used and it is usually baked or put in tandoor (as opposed to fried).
Got this from @kulchaexpress – they have a few branches in London. Fully vegetarian restaurant. We also got a lassi and samosa chaat. Simple yet delicious comfort food. Click here to see their menu.
Our thoughts:
Kulcha thali: the kulcha was stuffed with onion and potato and it came with a chickpea dish and some sides. It was delicious, but probably something that can be recreated quiet easily at an Asian household. It’s worth trying though if you haven’t.
Lassi: I’m not a big lassi fan. They’re too heavy to be a drink to go with a meal and not really enough to be a dessert either. So, what is it? This one, was light though to be honest – not your typical mango one.
Samosa chaat: always hits the spot this dish does.
Service was awesome! The person who served us was very very attentive and he took care of us well.
