Gelato filled doughnuts on the Royal Mile Edinburgh
Walking the Royal Mile in Edinburgh is more or less an obligatory act a tourist must do. It’s a great stretch of history and awesome architecture! A photographer’s dream. More on that in a future post. This one is about this absolute gem!
About half way down the walk, you’ll come across this small spot that does coffee and doughnuts. But it isn’t your ordinary doughnut. It’s gelato filled doughnuts! You get to choose from the daily gelato flavours to fill your fresh doughnut with. We chose salted caramel. It was really really good! Hot on the outside and cold on the inside!! Who else loves this combo in a dessert? It made for a perfect little break on a hot day while on the walk.
I mean who doesn’t love gelato? And I know everyone loves doughnuts. This is a dream combo! A must try when in Edinburgh.
