The best burger that I have ever had is the Nashville Chicken Sando from Pickl in Dubai. Since the first time I had this, I always now compare every chicken burger I have with this monster of a burger! I’ve had it three times including dining in and getting it delivered, and each and every time the taste was consistently epic.

Pickl is Dubai born burger joint that now have numerous branches in Dubai and a couple in Abu Dhabi. In their own words, it all started with a simple idea: ”to make great burgers. No gimmicks. No nonsense. Just good food people love. Simple. Not basic.” And you can really tell this from their food as well as vibes from their restaurant and their staff. It was love at first bite – it became my favourite burger instantly! And this wasn’t even a dining in experience. This shows that they are not about fancy walls, putting on shows and just blowing you away with their aesthetics – no. They are about the food.
What did we try?
If you know me, you know that I like to try something different. Here, I got the same thing every single time. It was THAT good. I got the Chicken Sando, which is made up of fresh fried chicken, comeback sauce, dill pickles and lettuce in a potato bun. You then have to choose the spice level – here are your choices: Plain / Medium / Feel the heat / Nashville / Reaper – check out their witty descriptions on their menu. I obviously went for Nashville. Not because I can’t handle the heat because I love heat! The delivery menu actually doesn’t have the reaper on it and so I ordered the first time thinking I’m getting the hottest one on the menu. To be fair, it is spicy! This is coming from a Bengali who is used to spice and loves it. So, when most places say something is spicy, it actually isn’t for people used to spice. But don’t get it twisted here… this is spicy! It will make your nose water… I mean they even give you gloves to have it with!
Their menu is simple (but not basic – as they say): cheese burgers, chicken, fries and drinks. The next time I go, I really have to try their other items. I’ve heard good things about their cheese burgers, I want me some of their sando fries, their shakes look interesting and they have an eye-catching ice cream sando too! Just writing about Pickl here is making me want to go back to Dubai!
