Our experience
Food
I’ve tried the shawarma and the broast chicken at this place and I have visited on a couple of occasions. The chicken shawarma is absolutely delicious. Some claim the best in Dubai! You can taste the quality of the chicken and the fillings inside the wrap make for a delicious and filling little Arab sandwich. However, the meat one I didn’t like too much as it had a meaty after taste. The star of the show here though is the broast chicken served with home made chips (just look at that beauty!). If you ever dine here, you’ll see this being ordered an awful lot, you’ll see this is the dish that is being taken to tables from the kitchen; when you see this at a place, make sure you order that dish! On my first visit, I made the mistake of ignoring this, but don’t worry, the second time I knew I had to get it. We also ordered fresh kiwi juice which was refreshing – when in Dubai make sure you try the fresh juices – especially the lemon and mint and also the kiwi one! Super refreshing! The thing I love about Arab fast food is that generally speaking it is or feels healthier than American/western fast food.
Customer service
The customer service was on point each time I visited. If you’ve ever visited a typical Arab fast food place, you’ll know what to expect. Lovely welcoming vibe but quick and fast at the same time. You’ll be greeted with a smile and sat down and order taken in no time. The food, in turn, will also come out in no time. This is more impressive considering, the food is of good quality. Each time I’ve visited they’ve been super busy – most of the tables occupied with people and also people queuing up at the shawarma counter waiting for their takeaway. I’ve never visited or walked by except that this place was buzzing. Yet, the customer service was always welcoming. Have to give them credit for that.
Price
The prices are super affordable. I feel it is a misconception that Dubai is an expensive city with the food being on the expensive side. I mean yeah, you can dine well and fine and spend a lot of money, but just like any other major city, you can get cheap eats too. And very good cheap eats at that! Let’s get to the prices here. The shawarma sandwich is 7 AED. The half broasted chicken is 25 AED and the sliced potato chips are 14 AED. That’s a meal that a couple of us shared and it was under 50 AED!
All in all, this is a lovely spot in Dubai. I always encourage people to try the home grown spots in Dubai as opposed to the international instagram kinda spots all the time. It’s at places like this that you will find the best food. Guaranteed! They have numerous branches in their birth city, Sharjah as well as a few in Dubai too.
