I have found my pizza!
Those who have followed me for a bit will know that I am one of the few in this world that don’t like pizza. It has never wowed me – whether it be from a famous franchise spot, or a hidden gem or even the famous pizza of Rome. I have never been left wanting more. So, if I told you that on my recent trip to Camden Market my favourite thing that I tried was a pizza, you’d think I’m lying. I kid you not, the best thing I had and actually all those I was with (5 of us) had was this pizza slice right here. From the very first bite I knew this was special. This was the first thing we had on the day and this was the thing we craved the most at the end of the day. And months later, this was still what we were thinking of!
New York Style
This was a New York style pizza. A large slice of either Pepperoni or Magherita pizza – both halal. And when I say, it is large. The picture doesn’t do it justice to be honest. It is freshly prepared in front of you. And when you get it on that paper plate it is piping hot and you can see all that cheesy goodness sizzling… mmmmm. Oh that sizzle! I’m not a big fan of the tomato flavour on a pizza. So, I loved the fact that it took the back seat and the cheese took the lead. The tomato taste was subtle, the pepperoni provided the nice meaty bite and the cheese was just cheesy. The crust was nice and thin – again allowing the cheese to shine. Seriously. Where has this pizza been all my life!?!?!?
FYI: I do not own this place. I am not being paid by this place to advertise them. I do not have any shares. This is just genuine love.
Please note this is not to be mistaken with the more well branded Camden Pizza Co place that have an Instagram. This place is the one that does huge New York style slices and only have two topping options to choose from.
