Try Thai Noodle Bar in Wrexham is a family run restaurant that started out back in 2008 as a shop selling authentic Thai ingredients to the people of Wrexham and then later due to the popularity pounced on the opportunity to open up a restaurant serving authentic Thai food. They use the ingredients from the shop (authentic from Thailand) along with Thai chefs to produce and serve authentic and delicious Thai food as well as other Asian dishes. This story shows the benefit of the opportunist mentality. Initially, they saw that the people of Wrexham were going to Liverpool or Manchester (1 hour away) to get their Thai ingredients, so they decided to open up shop in Wrexham itself. And then, as mentioned before, when the popularity rose, they decided to open up a cafe/restaurant serving authentic Thai food itself. And boy are the people of Wrexham glad. They close relatively early (at 9 pm) and most evenings you’ll see that they are super busy.

Our favourite dishes to order
Drunken noodles
This is basically flat rice noodles with vegetables (you can get meat versions too). We like to get it extra spicy with fried garlic and chilli oil. Warning – it is extremely spicy.
Special fried rice
We like to get the vegetarian version for this dish too and the toppings (fried garlic and chilli oil) just elevate to whole another level. We like to devour this with the aforementioned noodles on the same plate. The perfect evening meal!
Thai red curry with jasmine rice
It is mild in terms of spice and it doesn’t need any extra kick either. It is just perfect the way it is. It’s got that comforting Thai red curry taste and once again, this makes for a perfect evening meal!
Overall, this is such a good local takeaway for the people of Wrexham or even nearby. Delicious food, like super delicious, and it is light on the stomach too. Have it for lunch or dinner and the best thing is you don’t feel bloated afterwards like you may do with other takeaway options. And it’s halal! Not many such halal options in this part of the country.
