Our experience
We’ve had koshary before and I believe we are in the forefront of halal bloggers that promote the dish and our love for it. We have a personal favourite koshary spot in London (read about them here), which is actually not far from this spot. However, their hygiene rating is not the best, so I don’t confidently recommend that one much. This spot is an established brand name that has come all the way from Cairo. So, expect high quality and cleanliness. The shop likewise loses that charm that you’d expect from a local spot. It just feels like a big name chain if you know what I mean. The space is clean and spacious. Like very clean and spacious! The prices are high especially considering how much you can pick this same dish up for from the same spot in Cairo. But if it tastes good, then it’s all good right? How did it taste? It was pretty good, but does it beat our number one spot? Surprisingly, it does not. The components married together better in that other spot. Nonetheless, still a very solid koshary spot here. If I was to recommend a spot for koshary newbies to try, it’ll be this spot.

Getting there
Parking: Norfolk Cresent – park and display and yellow single line lanes are free on Sundays / evenings. You can also drive around to look for other spots; there are some roads that are evenings and Sundays free (a little further out). But most are residents only.
