What a lovely story this one is.
Mosque Kitchen started out as a small canteen serving food to the Edinburgh mosque attendees only. But in 2001, they decided, in an attempt to improve the relations between Muslims and the rest of the community, to open their doors to everyone.
Now, you get Muslims, non-Muslims, students, tourists, Indian food lovers, bargain hunters all dining in this wonderful little establishment. Well, I say little, they’ve grown now to become a pretty decent sized restaurant. They’ve even been featured on Timeout! Good on them!
What food is on offer?
It’s Indian food offered in a canteen style service. You pick up a tray and a plate and choose what you want. Usually, a fiver is enough to fill your stomach with some good wholesome delicious food at this place.
This place has established itself as a must try on anyones Edinburgh trip.
