What do you think of when you see crispy cream burger on the menu?
We recently hit up curry mile on Manchester. All Stars (@allstarsmcr) wasn’t on the itinerary, but the bright colours and visually appealing interior dragged us in. All Stars is an American style fast food diner with all the classics including burgers, loaded fries, wings, shakes, desserts. The menu is huuuuge and you will definitely find something to interest you.
What we ordered (couple chicken burgers and loaded fries) quickly was good. It’d be nice to try out some other things next time and I hear the best things on the menu actually are the churros and doughnuts, of which we didn’t get this time.
The loaded fries were on point and the chicken in the burger itself was nice and crispy and ticked all the boxes for a decent chicken burger. Mind you, it is not near the Manchester famous chicken burgers. Is this a must stop on the curry mile? I don’t think so. But for what they offer (and if that’s what you’re craving) they’re decent. Would like to try more of their menu before I pass a proper judgement though.
Crispy Cream Burger
I asked the above question (what do you think of when you see crispy cream burger on the menu?) on Instagram hoping everyone would think like me. I instantly thought a burger with Krispy Kreme doughnuts as buns. I mean it’s in the name – crispy….. cream….. I ordered excitedly hoping to try this amazing concoction (didn’t read the description on the menu). When I opened the package later I realised the buns were actually bagels. So, you can imagine my mind, my heart and my taste buds were kinda disappointed from the get go. And despite how good something is, if you’re looking forward to something specific and it isn’t that, you’re not returning from that disappointment. Now there were a couple people who said bagels on Instagram – so I’m going to hold my hand up and say my bad. Should’ve read the description. But an FYI most thought it was doughnuts. Most would. Don’t hurt someone like that man. Why call it crispy cream???! It’s like calling a drink Koka Kola, but what you actually get is orangeade. Random. Not cool.
