It gets hot in Rome in the summer months. Extremely hot. So, here’s 3 ways you can stay refreshed and hydrated in Rome to beat the heat. (In all honesty this isn’t rocket science and these three will also be true for any hot city in the world, but I wanted a way to place these 3 into one post lol).
I mean you have to try gelato when in Italy. How can you not? Whether you want to try your safe and classic flavours or want to be adventurous, you’ll find something. Lemon is particularly refreshing! Tiramisu flavoured gelato is interesting. What’s your favourite gelato flavour?
You’ll find slush stations outside small newsagents all over Rome. They also do interesting flavours that are different to the norm like mint and watermelon. Slush is always a good idea for the heat.
Nothing truly hydrates like water. And boy the free water stations scattered all over the city is incredible. Such a genius idea. It’s free, fresh and cold. Can it get any better? Top tip: carry a water bottle while exploring in Rome so you can keep refilling as and when you need.
There you have it. 3 ways to beat the heat in Rome regardless of your budget. Which one are you going for to beat the heat?
